From 1968 to 1985 a serial killer disseminated panic in the Florentine countryside killing young couples that secluded themselves to make love. The
murderer killed eight couples, shocking the public opinion and earning the nickname of the “Monster of Florence” that made him famous. This is the storyof twenty years of investigation and of the personal battle of Renzo Rontini, the father of a victim. While suspects and detectives followed all possible evidenceand examinations, Rontini dedicated his life to find the responsible of his daughter’s death. The series traces the steps of Italy’s most appalling crime story and recalls the account of a father who never stopped seeking for truth.

Antonello Grimaldi is a director, actor and screenwriter. He was born in Sassari and took his degree in Law. In 1981 me moved to Rome where he attended the Gaumont Cinema School. Later, he taught History of Entertainment at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari. In 1983 he took part in the episode film Juke-Box. He made his debut in feature films with Nulla ci può fermare in 1990. In 1995 he directed a large cast in Bits and Pieces. He worked as an actor in That’s It and But Forever In My Mind by Gabriele Muccino and in the controversial Guardami by Davide Ferrario, presented
in Venice in 1999. The same year he directed Claudio Bisio in Asini, followed in 2000 by An Impossible Crime and in 2008 by Quiet Chaos with Nanni Moretti.
